We harvested our first microgreens! Sunflower sprouts and Pea Sprouts. They looked devine and tasted delicious! I shared the Pea sprouts with the church family Satuday night and ran out quickly. I washed the sunflower sprouts as directed and set them out to air dry. Unfortunately that was when a child fell from the trampoline (she’s fine, thank you) and I was rushing to give proper healing. Then I realized what time it was – I had an hour to get a shower and bathe 5 kids – the world started spinning and I forgot about my poor sunnies that were wilting by the minute. It wasn’t until after my shower that I realized my mistake. I quickly ran outside and tossed them in a tupperware to cool off in the fridge. It made me so sad because out of the two I really liked the mild flavor and crunch to the sunnies. I didn’t want the first impression of my harvest to be these poor, wilted sunnies. π¦
No worries, the pea sprouts brought at least two customers interested in orders. I’m good with that.
Great Job. What are your plans now?
